About I've always been at home in the kitchen. When company was coming and everyone had chores to do - I was in the kitchen cooking the dinner. It never felt like a chore to me. My first job was in a bakery. Other restaurant jobs followed. Many others... After studying business finance at a liberal arts college in Vermont, I had an epiphany - I wanted to cook...and bake...for a living! So with the support of my family - I headed off to The French Culinary Institute and began my career in the kitchen. Since then I have worked many years in NYC restaurants specializing in pastry and chocolate. Eventually, I carried this experience with me into food styling.
